Welcome to Stephensworld! I am S.P. Hurlsmith, but through my site you will know me as Stephen The Wizard! This is my corner of the internet! Here, I post on my own blog, talk about projects I am working on, post my art, literature, and poetry, and generally geek out about my interests!

Who I am.

I go by many names on the internet, but I use my pen name, Stephen Pete Hurlsmith, as my alias. I am a 13 year old mathematician and aspiring writer! I spend a majority of my time writing and drawing, and I love to share my love of writing and drawing to the world.

What this website is.

This website is my main creative outlet, my hotspot, and my home online. I've made personal websites before for a long time, but I feel that in this period of my life, this will be the best rendition of my site. I intend for this to be a place where I can be myself and indulge in what I find interesting and fun. Stephensworld is by no means a professional website, as you could probably tell, but it is a place personal to me. The home page is my home page.

Why a website?

Usually, and most commonly at the time of writing, most people would create a social media account to denote their presence on the cyberweb. I, however, never found this as a particularly human or personal form of self expression, mainly because an account really doesn't capture who you are, and isn't very personalized. It's just a template in the endless sea of templated pages. That's one reason!

Secondly, a personal website, besides being personal to you, also a great form of expressing yourself! A personal website is a great way to express who you are, what you're interested in, etc. A lot of people need that sort of medium to express themselves, which is the second reason why.

Lastly, the personal website is a relic of a time when the internet was a magical place; a relic of the time when the internet was not a means to an end, a shortcut for capitalism, but instead a magical place where you would not only find knowledge, but friends, and a place where you can be who you want to be(i.e. ESCAPISM!!!). Making your own website isn't just a benefit to yourself, it also is a benefit to the internet itself! It brings more soul, personality, and FUN to the internet, which is exactly what it needs more of!

I run a blog on this website! I post about many things, but mostly things I'm interested in(a lot!!). I post usually around every friday, but that isn't a guarantee.

I make lots of things, as I consider myself very creative. These 'things' range from literature & poetry, to drawings, and to academic writing and even software!(Yes, this means I make PC videogames as a hobby)

Tutorials and Guides to things I know about

All skillful wizards have a heap of knowledge, and usually an apprentice. This is my website, and anybody kind enough to join me is my apprentice! I know about lots of things in programming, tech, literature, and drawing(in my style, for obvious reasons).
